No Way Back (feat. So!YoON!)

One thing I’ve come to appreciate about Enhypen’s catalog is their ability to traverse a variety of emotional tones. While songs like No Doubt, Bad Desire, Fever, or even XO* highlight the group’s core balance of boyish charm and sultry allure, No Way Back showcases a more melancholy, yearning desperation. Add to that a key feature from beloved K-indie artist So!YoON! and you have suddenly directly captured my brain waves and put them down to sound.

That said, for anyone with a toe in the Kpop world, you will have heard of the departure of one of Enhypen’s key vocalists, Heeseung, from the group this past month. I am of course curious to see how Enhypen’s sound evolves with this line up change, and I’ll also be tuned in to see what Evan (aka Heeseung) displays in his solo work.
